Our client is a market leading consultancy operating in over 100 countries worldwide across a number of mining and construction disciplines. With their Australian operations based out of Sydney, this client is seeking a talented Senior Mine Estimator on a contract basis.

The purpose of th e role is to lead a team of estimators in the development of capital cost, service fee or operating cost estimates on a range of large and small projects within the NSW mining and resources sector. This position includes a diverse range of tasks from quantity and cost estimating to team management and risk management.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven track record in the management of multi-discipline cost estimates
• Ability to use the QUEST computerised estimating system
• Experience undertaking risk assessments
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills

• Manage and direct teams of committed technical professionals
• Develop quantities from full or part engineered design documentation
• Manage and conduct risk management functions
• Manage and control work output to given cost and time budgets
• Provide reports and updates to management

• Competitive hourly or daily rate based on experience
• Sydney CBD based position
• Ongoing training and development
